The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared this rapidly spreading coronavirus outbreak a pandemic, and many countries are grappling with a rise in confirmed cases. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is advising people to be prepared for disruptions to daily life that will be necessary if the coronavirus spreads within communities.
Coronavirus disease- 2019 is also known as COVID-19. This is a new strain that was discovered last year (2019), and it has not been previously identified in humans.
According to the American College of Cardiology, the specific effects of COVID-19 on the cardiovascular system remain unclear, though there have been reports of acute cardiac injury, arrhythmias, hypotension, tachycardia, and a high proportion of concomitant cardiovascular disease in infected individuals, particularly those who require more intensive care.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is advising people to be prepared for the disruptions to daily life that will be necessary if the coronavirus spreads within communities. This COVID-19 is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.
Here are some important tips coming from CDC to avoid the spreading of this virus and to take actions to protect yourself:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily.
- Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow.
- Wear a facemask if you are sick.
While there’s currently no vaccine to prevent Coronavirus Virus Disease- 2019 (COVID-19), most of the residences have been using some new air ventilation equipment to reduce dust but substantially reducing microbial populations in the air and other surfaces of your area.
Lots of contaminants can be inside your ventilation system and create an environment for bacteria to grow. And, as a result, they can become a reason for health issues or even a fire.
